If we can help you with a claim we will provide you with a straightforward no-win no-fee agreement with the option of a fixed or capped price retainer.

Jason Mills – Director | Solicitor
Jason is the Principal Lawyer and Director of FNQ Legal.
He was born and raised in Port Douglas. He has degrees in Law and Psychology from the University of Queensland and has practiced exclusively in personal injury law for well over a decade.
Jason spent most of his early legal career working for a national personal injuries law firm, initially in Brisbane and then in Cairns.
After many years of working for a large law firm Jason recognised an opportunity to do things differently – to create a firm that puts clients first, providing first class legal representation that’s affordable – so he founded FNQ Legal and hasn’t looked back.
Ashleigh Harrison – Special Counsel | Solicitor
Ashleigh is an experienced personal injuries lawyer and has over a decade of experience. She is a Cairns local with a particular focus on the Cairns and Cassowary Coast regions.
After finishing high school in Cairns, Ashleigh attended the University of Adelaide, where she obtained a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Japanese). She then returned to Far North Queensland to commence practising as a solicitor. In 2020, Ashleigh undertook her specialist accreditation exams and was the only candidate to pass, receiving the Highest Achievement Award. Ashleigh is currently only 1 of 3 practising Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialists in Personal Injury Law in the Cairns and Far North Queensland region.
Ashleigh is passionate about delivering better quality legal representation at an affordable, fair cost.
Hayley Afeaki – Legal Assistant
Hayley was born and raised in the local area. Before starting a family, she played Basketball around Australia at an elite level for multiple teams in the Women’s National Basketball League.
In addition to sport Hayley has worked in Administration and Office Management across a variety of fields over the past 17 years. Hayley’s focus is on optimising client experience.
Claire Heathcock – Administrator
Claire has worked in Administration and Finance across a range of industries and been a Creative Producer for large scale events and festivals. She enjoys bringing her diverse skill set to FNQ Legal and ensures that all things behind the scenes at FNQ Legal are running at their best.
